Our office can assist academic faculty, staff and students with issues such as:

  • What applications are available and how to use them;
  • Accounts and access for academic systems;
  • Connecting mobile devices to the campus wireless network.

Please include the following information in any request for assistance:

  1. Your first and last name,
  2. Downstate student ID number (if you are a student) and your college and degree program.  If you are a resident, your residency program.
  3. Contact info - phone, office location (for faculty/staff), email (especially if you use a non-Downstate email account)
  4. Course subject code and number ("NRBS 3110"), faculty instructor (if applicable)
  5. Application (Blackboard Learn, Banner, O365 email, wifi, REDCap, Panopto, etc)
  6. A brief description of the problem - for example, "Can't upload to an Assignment in Blackboard Learn."
     

Drop-In Hours:

We schedule Drop-In Hours during the first two weeks of each semester:

  • Monday through Friday,
  • Noon to 1 pm and 4 to 5 pm.
  • ACT Office Annex (lower level, Medical Library) 

Staff are usually available during these scheduled days/times for students or faculty.  Otherwise you can reach out via email or phone to arrange an appointment with one of our staff.
