Why don't I see my course(s) yet on Prime?

Why don't my courses show up in Prime?

Students:

  1. Start: Batch-enrollment begins on the Thursday or Friday of the week before the start of classes.
  2. Frequency:  Batch enrollment continues once a day, Monday through Friday during the first four weeks of each semester.
  3. Lag: Depending upon when your Banner registration is processed, it may take one business day before you are enrolled into the course site on Prime.
  4. Holds: Holds in Banner will prevent your enrollment until they are cleared.

Academic Computing and Technology (ACT) staff will not be able to manually add a student until their Banner course registration status has been checked and verified.

Faculty:

  1. Start: Course sites for each semester are created 6 weeks before the start of the semester.
  2. Principal Instructors: The principal instructors (according to Banner) are enrolled.  They have full rights and can add other faculty as necessary.
  3. Adjuncts: External adjuncts are not automatically added.  Please contact the ACT Office to add adjunct faculty to your course who are not Downstate employees

As per SUNY guidelines, written permission is required for new faculty to reuse unique/original content created by the previous instructor.

If you still require assistance, please email act@downstate.edu.  Be sure to include the following information:

  • Your Downstate student ID number (if you are a student)
  • course subject code and number
  • the section number
  • course title
  • instructor name
