Why can I no longer access my older recordings?
When you login to Panopto using your D2L Brightspace credentials, a brand new Panopto account is automatically created. This new account may not have full access to your older recordings from Blackboard Learn.
If you wish to copy your Blackboard Learn recordings over to a Panopto folder in Brightspace, your new Panopto account will need to be granted access to your Blackboard Learn recordings.
Send a request to help@downstate.edu to request access. Remember to include the specific course numbers and titles of the folders you wish to access.
Transferring sessions from Blackboard Learn to Brightspace
Panopto now allows you to login using your D2L Brightspace user name and password, whereas previously, you logged in using your Blackboard Learn credentials.
One caveat of this new method of login, is that you may no longer see your older courses from Blackboard Learn listed in Panopto.
Copying Entire Course Folders
If you have access to your older course folders in Panopto, it's possible to copy the entire contents over to your new course folder in one step.
Log into Panopto and enter the course folder you wish to populate with sessions from a previous semester. Click on the Settings icon 
for the folder at the top-right of the window.
In the dialog box that appears, scroll down to the Course Video Copy section.
Click the option Choose source folder, and browse for the folder containing the videos you wish to copy over. Click Begin folder copy to start the transfer process (this may take a few minutes to complete).
Copying Individual Sessions
Panopto makes copying (or moving) one or more individual sessions into your course folder very easy.
Login into Panopto and browse to the folder containing the session(s) you which to copy.
Mouse over the session you wish to copy and select the checkbox that appears to the top-left corner of the thumbnail image. You can select multiple sessions.
Click the Copy (or Move) button in the menu bar.
Choose the folder you wish to transfer the sessions to from the dropdown menu that appears.
