Computers - seeking assistance
If you are a Downstate employee, have a computer purchased with Downstate funds and you need assistance, please send an email to the HelpDesk (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the following information:
- Your name, phone number, office location.
- Computer operating system (Mac or Windows) and version
- Brief general description of the issue (for example, "Lotus Notes crashes whenever I open it" or "I'm trying to install software but I get an error message about administrative rights")
- Your general availability - for example, include whether you are on campus only certain days of the week.
You will receive an automated reply with your Footprints service system ticket number. Staff will review the ticket and get back you to arrange assistance.
If you wish to call the HelpDesk instead (718-270-4357), be prepared to give the information listed above.
